BUBBLEBOY

This is an internet worm (i.e. self propagating) which uses Microsoft Outlook to send itself to everyone in the address book with "Bubbleboy is Back!" in the subject line.

Unlike previous worms like Happy99 and Melissa, it executes as soon as you open your email. It doesn't rely on attachment. Precaution like " Don't open an an unknown attachment" doesn't work anymore.

Simply using the preview function in Outlook Express will allow the worm to replicate. Like Happy99, this virus is a nuisance and does no real damage to PC at the moment. Variants of the virus that are destructive may crop up before long.

Other e-mail programmes such as Exchange and Lotus Notes are also vulnerable.
